I am resolved.

And as part of my new resolution, I have:

A) Decided to update once a week. On Friday. This is for last Friday. Or maybe this Friday. But I'm gonna update once a week!

B) Write for 15 a day. This way, I hope to finish LWTG, and get some HP writing in because I've been building up a whole lotta Marauders and first war detritus in my head for years now, and I want to get some of it out, at least!

So...updating.

Well, this week, I worked building a set and doing heavy lifting for which I am distinctly unsuited for, so, you know...pain.

In other news, I think I've finally settled on my audition pieces which are due...NEXT WEEK! What am I even thinking? They require three months work, but, I KNOW them, and the plays from years ago, so hopefully that counts for something. One of them I know exceptionally well, so I'm not so worried about that. It's just, contemporary is my weakness, and of course that is the one I've only known for a couple years.

And a song.

One of my friends, who is the most gorgeous singer I have ever met has started bringing me sheet music, telling me I could do this song epically, or that one is really suited to me, and she is so casually sure of my competency that I think that, more than any audience comments or other compliments, has really allowed me to be a bit more confident of myself. Considering singing in front of people is one of my biggest fears. Actually, I did a musical this summer as well that has really helped me out in that department (thanks to my mother's urging!), so I'm significantly less terrified about the whole thing!

Looking very much forward to it all, actually.

I'm the worst...

Yes, I know, I fail massively at updating. And yes, I know, it can be rather annoying. I honestly, honestly do intend to finish "Longer Ways to Go," however, several things have come up in the meantime.

A) I'm entering my final year of university -
I'm in a theatre program, which by its very nature, ends up requiring a TON of time out of class that I could and would otherwise spend writing and doing fandom things. Last summer I got away from it a bit, but between summer school this year, and the fact that I did one show on the side, am currently in rehearsal for another, and still have to prep a portfolio for the year, I am severely lacking in free time. On the other hand, I got paid for one of the shows!

B) I've experienced a resurgence of love for Harry Potter. Turns out, I'm still not over the Remus Lupin thing, but he's hardly in DH2, and I haven't read the book again, so I'm finding it possible to just pretend nothing bad ever happened! lalala...
I will, however, one day write an essay on exactly why killing him off was a mistake thematically, structurally, and morally. MORALLY. But actually.

Anyway, needless to say, it's difficult to concentrate on Sherlock  when this stuff is going on.

HOWEVER! I do know where I want LWTG to end up, and I'm thinking there's only about four more parts, though by the time I'm finished it'll probably all be AU, but that'll be half the fun! Right?

On a different note, I'm totally going to get a HP tattoo upon graduation.

I'm Officially the Worst...

Oh hey, long time, no see...And for that I'm really, really sorry.

Though it's no proper excuse, all I can offer by way of explanation for my extended absence is that school was CRAZY this year. Aside from creating a show, I also got a lead role in another, and that ate up a ton of time. On top of that add regular classes and assignments, and I was just pretty consistently exhausted. Not to mention it seemed like half my friends had...episodes of strange this year.

So yeah. Been somewhat distracted. But hopefully a new part will be welcome somewhat?

Brief Update

Erm, so it's been a decidedly goodly length of time since I updated Longer Ways to Go, and if anyone is even still interested in this story, I just wanted to let you know what's been going on.

Basically, I've not forgotten the story or where I'm going with it or anything. I've just started back at school, and have twelve hour days 5 days of the week. The other two are apparently for homework...right.

Anywho, I WILL finish this off, at some point. I've the next part nearly completed, I just need some unbroken time to put everything together! Cheers!

Oops, long time, no update?

Takes off from the end of ep. 3, The Great Game, so yeah...some SPOILERific stuff. This is getting a bit out of hand, you think? I struggled mightily with this part though, so hopefully it stands up to scrutiny. Maybe stuff will start to happen in the next part! These boys just like malingering, apparently.
